15 hours/week (Weekly A.S.P. hours = 8) M-Th 2 hours daily

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with identified partner organization to coordinate, manage, and oversee after school program for school age children residing at the Parc Derian community. Organize, schedule and facilitate on site programs in the areas of Wellness, Creativity, Lifelong Learning, Intergenerational, and Community Building. Create and facilitate a rich and stimulating educational enhancement program.
- Reports to the EngAGE Chief Operations Officer, and works closely with the on-site Program Director, the EngAGE leadership team, and other Program Directors
- Creates and posts monthly schedules/curriculums to include tutoring, homework help, tech support, creativity opportunities
- Monitor the progress and success of program
- Partner with local organizations to provide guest speakers, workshops, presentations – when appropriate
- Plan for and purchase supplies for programs
Maintain regular communication
- Meet once monthly with Program Directors (virtual)
- Meet monthly with property managers and/or housing management officers to discuss resident issues, and collaborate on community building programming ideas (virtually)
General Administrative Duties
- Writes monthly reports including attendance sheets, program descriptions, progress
- Monitors program budgets and expenses
- Attends meetings as needed
- Ensures that all EngAGE programming complies with building rules and policies
Qualifications
- Experience – At minimum 1 year of service experience working with children, families and/or some related field and interacting in a culturally diverse community.
- Outgoing, team player, with optimistic outlook and good judgment
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, skilled listener
- Adaptable, flexible, and able to function well in a dynamic work environment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Perform ethically and set appropriate boundaries in order to uphold the integrity of the work, maintain professional roles, and avoid burnout and favoritism
- Have a positive, open, caring, non-judgmental and non-patronizing demeanor. Recognize the strengths of each resident, not just the needs
- Possess excellent organization skills – developing systems, procedures, calendars, files, etc.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, other departments, residents, property management, city staff, program partners, key stakeholders, and the public
