Prolific, award-winning authors Gregg Hurwitz and James Brown are featured this week, each in a half-hour interview:
Gregg Hurwitz is the author of ten thrillers, including They’re Watching and The Crime Writer, which was a finalist for the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger and the ITW Best Novel of the Year awards. In addition to his novels, Gregg has written several screenplays for major studios, writes for Marvel Comics, and was a writer and consulting producer on the ABC-TV hit science fiction show “V.” Tim Carpenter talks with author Gregg Hurwitz about his latest book, You’re Next. Author James Brown has received the Nelson Algren Award for Short Fiction, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in fiction writing, and a Chesterfield Film Writing Fellowship from Universal/Amblin Entertainment. He received an MFA degree in creative writing from the University of California, Irvine. His writing has been featured in the Los Angeles Times Magazine, the Denver Quarterly and the New England Review. He is the author of several novels and two memoirs about his turbulent childhood and addictions, The Los Angeles Diaries and This River.
