D.T. MAX is a staff writer for the New Yorker. He is the author of The Family That Couldn’t Sleep: Unraveling a Medical Mystery, and his long essay in the New Yorker, “The Unfinished: David Foster Wallace’s Struggle to Surpass Infinite Jest,” was published to great acclaim.  Tim Carpenter talks to D.T. DR. STEPHEN J. WEISS is a highly decorated World War II veteran who landed on D-Day in Southern France.  He holds two Masters degrees, one in Clinical Psychology and the other in War Studies. He was awarded his PhD. in War Studies from Kings College, London, in 1995. Tim Carpenter talks to Dr. Stephen J.
