News from the Team: Cynthia Friedlob Celebrates 10 Years with Experience Talks

From EngAGE CEO/Founder Tim Carpenter:

A lovely birthday and anniversary holiday lunch with and for Cynthia and her Mom at the storied Smoke House across from Warner Bros. Cynthia and I met 10 years ago when her Mom saw an ad for a class at the Burbank Adult School for radio writing and said she should check it out. I was the instructor. Cynthia is a better writer and writing instructor, but she never ever says so. Cynthia has an anniversary arts show opening at the NOHO Senior Arts Colony tomorrow night – she is a visual artist as well as running our websites, social media and blog, plus, did I mention, she’s a host/producer of the Experience Talks radio show? I am honored to be friend and colleague of Cynthia, and celebrate her. Happy birthday, my friend. [Thank you, Tim! Most appreciated. ~ Cynthia]

Cynthia, Tim, and Mom (Marian Friedlob) celebrate Cynthia’s 10th anniversary of her first commentary on Experience Talks, 25 years of exhibiting art, and her 70th birthday!

Please join us for the opening reception! More info here.

Help Support the Only Radio Station Powered by the People

Experience Talks will be preempted on 12/17 for the extended KPFK Fund Drive.

When we say the KPFK is “Powered by the People,” we mean exactly that! As a listener-sponsored radio station, KPFK relies on donations to keep the doors open and the shows on the air.

KPFK began broadcasting in April, 1959. It’s one of the most powerful FM stations in the western United States in terms of reach: it can be heard from the California/Mexico border to Santa Barbara to Ridgecrest/China Lake — and online — with no ads!

Click here to go directly to KPFK’s secure PayPal gateway to donate, click here to donate and get a gift, or text “KPFK” to 41444 to donate by phone. Please support fiercely independent public radio. Thank you!
