Sometimes crafting requires tuning your fine motor skills in order to show your creativity. At Magnolia at 9th Senior Apartments in San Bernardino, CA, crafters have taken up quilling, an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs for use on greetings cards, pictures, boxes, eggs, and to make models, jewelry, mobiles, and more. The crafters are becoming familiar with the technique and are developing their skills. They look forward to the weekly class with excitement.

Celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), #GivingTuesday is a counterpoint to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. After a weekend of consumer spending, #GivingTuesday provides a moment to pause, be grateful, support causes you care about, join together with friends and colleagues, and share your stories on social media. Started in 2012 by 92nd Street Y in New York, in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, #GivingTuesday has become a global phenomenon. Join with the rest of the world and donate cash or your time. You can even post a selfie of you holding a sign with the name of the charity you supported: EngAGE! Thank you.
