Marie-Rose Phan-Lê (pron. fawn-lay) has more than twenty years’ experience in film and television production (Northern Exposure, Prefontaine, Ace’s High). She is the founder and president of Healing Planet Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and presentation of ancient healing and spiritual traditions. Marie-Rose has traveled extensively from the beaches of Hawaii to the heights of the Himalayas, for her award-winning documentary film, Talking Story, the companion to her book entitled, Talking Story: One Woman’s Quest to Preserve Ancient Spiritual and Healing Traditions. She has transitioned her flourishing healing practice working one-to-one with individuals to focusing on the one-to-many, consulting with organizations, businesses, and other groups. She is currently the chief operating officer and creative director at High Impact Inc. Marie-Rose was born in Vietnam, emigrated to France, and later to the United States, and currently lives in Hawaii.

We’ve noticed, as you surely have, that so many familiar parts of the past are gone, or almost gone, because of changing times: everything from buildings we thought of as landmarks, to styles of popular music, to businesses made obsolete by advancements in technology. So, we’re starting a blog category called “Changing Times” that will offer an occasional look at these changes. They’re certainly not all bad, and many are brilliantly wonderful, but some do cause us to wax nostalgic, at least for a little while. Like this one:
