September 21st at beautiful Cerritos Park East: Crowds of eager EngAGE community seniors arrived by bus, all prepared to compete in a wide range of categories that allowed them to showcase their skills in events that ranged from walking to creating art. EngAGE team members and a host of volunteers made sure that the day went smoothly. The morning kicked off with a march of the competitors. Later, a tasty lunch was provided and, at the end of the event, medals were awarded to the excited winners. The overall community winner this year: Villa Anaheim!
Congratulations to everyone who participated and special thanks to all of our volunteers, including Vicki Clark, Senior Olympics Event Chair; Doug Wiskow, Senior Olympics Volunteer Coordinator; and Brossy Reina, Senior Olympics Event Coordinator.
