February brought celebrations of Valentine’s Day and Black History Month, healthy eating workshops and tasty meals, ever-popular drum circles, a workshop to explain those sometimes difficult to use cell phones, a visit from the Irish group Klawitter (Hedda and fellow musicians travel from Ireland each year to collaborate with EngAGE to sing traditional Irish songs and tell stories collected from Irish seniors, then gather some stories from our residents to take home with them), a new French language class, continuing residents’ improv comedy performances (check out www.seniorfunnytv.com to see their videos), and an EngAGE Senior Olympics victory party at Villa Anaheim (the community that took home the trophy this year).
