Writer/director Shirl Hendryx, 90 years old and well known for his highly successful career in theatre, film, and television (writer of such classic hit TV shows as “Columbo,” “Hawaii Five-0,” and “Combat”) directs the world premier of his riveting drama, “Games On A Bombed-out Beach” at Macha Theatre in West Hollywood. Here’s the story:
“Rich, famous, and socially committed to helping those less fortunate than himself, movie star, Jim Branson, relishes his life on this good green earth. He’s missing something, however. And though he can’t quite place what it is, the feeling influences him to hire a strange obscure European director to helm the movie he is preparing to shoot on a Greek island – a choice that not only spirals into a powerful and disturbing drama, but offers a provocative look at the human condition at the beginning of the 21st Century.”
