Have you seen the terrific new video (1:37) about last year’s EngAGE Senior Olympics? It’s now posted on our YouTube Channel and our website. Here’s the story:
September 21, 2013, at beautiful Cerritos Park East: Crowds of eager EngAGE community seniors arrived by bus, all prepared to compete in the annual EngAGE Senior Olympics. A wide range of categories allowed them to showcase their skills in events that ranged from walking to creating art. EngAGE team members and a host of volunteers made sure that the day went smoothly. The morning kicked off with a march of the competitors. Later, a tasty lunch was provided and, at the end of the event, medals were awarded to the excited winners. Thanks to Brossy Reina, Vicki Clark, Maureen Kellen-Taylor, Nancy Goodhart, Robin Hart, and Art Shinn for creating a wonderful record of this exciting event, and thanks to our sponsors for their support!
The 2014 EngAGE Senior Olympics are scheduled for Saturday, September 27th at Cerritos Park East. Want to participate? Want to donate? Volunteer? Get all the details right here on our website. This is sure to be another great year for our seniors!
