Entrepreneur and philanthropist Eli Broad, 82, has a staggering net worth of over $7 billion dollars. He was the founding chairman of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles in 1979, and he has given generously to arts organizations such as the Los Angeles Opera, as well as to Santa Monica College. He’s also used some of his fortune to build an impressive personal collection of fine art. On September 20th, the Broad Museum will open in downtown L.A. Admission will be free.
