We opened the new PacArts community in San Pedro, and construction is underway on the Glendale Arts Colony. The number of communities we serve grew to thirty-five.

EngAGE made news in Forbes, the Journal on Active Aging, the Chronicle of Philanthropy, the California Health Report, AARP California, the Silver Century Foundation, and on Marketplace Morning Report and Next Avenue.

We were site-visited at NoHo Senior Arts Colony by the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, Jane Chu, as part of her tour of a handful of innovative arts programs in Los Angeles. We’re grateful to receive program support from the NEA.

Tim Carpenter, Founder and Executive Director of EngAGE, was honored with a Durfee Foundation Stanton Fellowship, an award made to “the most knowledgeable, inquisitive, ambitious, influential and highly networked leaders – the ones who are best positioned to identify and solve a thorny problem.”

We look forward to another year of providing arts, wellness, lifelong learning, community building, and intergenerational programs to thousands of seniors living in affordable senior apartment communities in Southern California.

We’re delighted to launch 2016 with a very special art exhibit featuring some of our EngAGEd artists. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, we hope you’ll join us to celebrate.
