To highlight fall hazards and increase awareness about how to prevent and reduce falls, the California Department of Aging recognizes the first seven days of fall, September 22-28, 2016, as Fall Prevention Awareness Week. Also, remember to mark your calendars for September 22, 2016, the first day of fall, as the 9th annual National Falls Prevention Awareness Day, sponsored by the National Council on Aging (NCOA). There are many useful resources at that link.
Many falls are preventable. Stay safe with these falls prevention tips.
