The Medicare Open Enrollment period is earlier than usual this year: October 15 – December 7, 2011. From the Medicare website:
“New prescription drug & health plan choices are offered every year. You could save money, get better coverage, or both. With the health care law, there are new benefits like lower prescription costs, wellness check-ups, and more preventive care services.”
Go to www.medicare.gov to get more information and to take advantage of the Medicare Plan Finder, an online service that allows you to compare plans to see which one is right for you.
