In 2017, EngAGE was selected as one of 24 organizations to receive a grant from The NAMM Foundation to fund vital programs that create and support access to musical instruction and that serve to inspire a life-long love of making music. The grant allows us to expand our existing EngAGE in Creativity programs to include an EngAGE in Music component. Funding support for EngAGE in Music offers a variety of music programs (taiko drumming, ukulele, choir and other ensemble music opportunities) for low-income seniors residing in CommonBond communities in Minneapolis, MN, through a collaboration with the MacPhail Center for Music.
This week, EngAGE CEO/Founder Tim Carpenter and COO Nancy Goodhart will be attending the NAMM Show and Grantee Summit in Anaheim, CA. The Grantee Summit agenda seeks to support and inspire grantees to explore goals and needs for their organizations’ effectiveness, to promote lively and open dialogue, and facilitate connections with peer experts.
