News from Buckingham: Staying Active and Creative

At Buckingham Senior Apartments in Los Angeles, CA, the exercise class enjoys their evening walks around the neighborhood.

In Jewelry Class, residents brought in some of their old personal jewelry and created new jewelry. Some made earnings others made necklaces.

In Computer/Tech class, residents created an email for the first time and discovered the beauty of connecting with family and friends through Facebook.

Buckingham’s monthly birthday celebration was lovely. Residents enjoyed delicious food, including a tasty piece of cake provided by EngAGE. They also played a new game that was introduced to them called “Celebrity,” which is like “Charades.” They won raffles and simply had a good time.

This month the garden club cleaned out the old and dead crops in the garden and planted new crops for the new season. They have cabbage, mustard greens, tomatoes, and corn.
