Resident Spotlight: Artist Frank Canetti

Frank Canetti is a lifelong resident of the Harbor Area. He was born in San Pedro and is a fourth-generation native Angeleño. After a long career in the marine insurance field, Frank taught and coached in the Torrance Unified School District for 20 years.

His interest in photography began in high school and college photography classes. He has traveled extensively, but always returns to his San Pedro roots. Completing the circle, as a resident of Pacific Avenue Arts Colony, he lives only ten blocks away from the house in which he was born.

His work reflects his passion for the outdoors, the ocean and colorful foods. His photographs have been printed on canvas, which creates a unique texture and feel to each image. Email: frank.canetti@gmail.com

Reception: August 2, 2018

This exhibition is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the  LA County Arts Commission, the California Arts Council, and Meta Housing.
