Welcome to the Team: Amie Mack

EngAGE welcomes AMIE MACK, EngAGE Regional Arts Director (RAD), to the team. Amie is responsible for creating meaningful arts programming and developing creativity-based community partnerships at at the arts colonies throughout Southern California.

Amie’s passion for the arts and arts education is reflected by her 25 year career in the museum, art gallery, and archives fields. Her lifelong passion for art, history and world cultures was realized when she became the museum registrar then the resource center coordinator at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Over the course of ten years, she managed the museum’s permanent and teaching collections, developed exhibitions for a $20M new museum building project, and created educational programs for the public ranging in age from preschool to elder adults. After a move to warm and sunny Southern California, Amie worked as an art consultant, curator, and gallery director at galleries in San Diego, Newport Beach, and Beverly Hills where she specialized in 19th-20th century American and European art. Most recently, she was an archivist-educator at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences where she developed hands-on classes for 6th-12th grades students and created exhibitions using historical materials from the Herbert Zipper Archive. Amie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies/Public History and Art History from Western Michigan University and an Associate of Arts in French from Delta College.
