News from Cotton’s Point: San Clemente Rocks

Residents at Cotton’s Point Senior Apartments in San Clemente, CA, enjoy craft time twice a month with Program Director, Jennifer Fallon. They paint rocks, creating beautiful art work, then hide the rocks in the community. Finders post their discoveries on the San Clemente Rocks Facebook page. San Clemente Rocks is “a free social club that paints and hides rocks in San Clemente, CA, for others to find and enjoy. ‘Keep, share, or rehide’ is our motto. This is a creative way to spread artistic love throughout our community. We use this club as a way to raise money for local charity.” There are currently 4,595 in the Facebook group, so there must be a lot of beautifully painted rocks scattered about for lucky residents and visitors to find!

Residents Barbra Morrow and Helen Luhah enjoyed painting their rocks with acrylic paints. They hid them somewhere on Del Mar Street!

EngAGE changes lives by transforming affordable senior and multigenerational apartment communities into vibrant centers of learning, wellness, and creativity.
