Holiday Season Anxiety and Depression

Some people face the holiday season with a lot of anxiety or depression. This is not a time to be alone, and you don’t have to be. No matter how perilous your economic situation is or if you are homeless, you are welcome at the many free Thanksgiving dinners that are available throughout the Southern California area. If you’re able to afford dinner but are feeling lonely and isolated, consider volunteering to help at these events. Check with your local senior center to find the free Thanksgiving celebration near you. Here are just a few:

This volunteer effort has been going since 1982. They welcome everyone: especially veterans, students, low-income families, seniors, anyone who is homeless, and anyone who is alone on Thanksgiving.
