News from Buckingham: Tech Talk + Walking + Keeping Fit

Tech Talk
Every Tuesday, residents at Buckingham Senior Apartments in Los Angeles, CA, join their teacher, Laura, in the computer room for an hour-long Tech Class. The class provides a friendly and open atmosphere where residents bring their computers, tablets, and cell phones. They get answers to their tech questions, help with operating instructions, and useful tips and tricks on using their devices.

Walking Class
Residents enjoy the Buckingham Senior Apartments Walking Club as a way to start, improve, and maintain their fitness levels.  They (and some of their pets) meet Tuesday mornings in the lobby before heading out for their hour-long morning walk around the neighborhood. The class ends in the community fitness room where a selection of exercise machines are available for use.

Keeping Fit
The Fitness Class with David features both high- and low-impact exercises which allow residents to strengthen their muscles. Residents enthusiastically join David in the community gym from 6-7 pm every Wednesday. He also instructs them on how to prepare nutritious meals as part of starting or maintaining a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.

EngAGE changes lives by transforming affordable senior and multigenerational apartment communities into vibrant centers of learning, wellness, and creativity.
