ace/121 Gallery opens exhibition of resident Alex Babajanyan
featuring work by resident Avo Krtikashyan
ace/121 Gallery’s newest exhibition is a celebration of the importance of art education from a young age and the viability of pursuing a career as an artist. Curator and ACE/121 resident Alex Babajanyan invited three other artists into his local Art Academy to lead workshops with young artists on abstract painting, textiles and digital/concept design. The exhibition displays the works of these four professional artists alongside what the students created in their workshops. The work is stunning and diverse. The event has hosted two public workshops that took place in the gallery: a Life Drawing class and a Textile workshop. The show culminates in a closing reception on November 8th from 6 PM to 9 PM, with live performances and music.
Gallery Hours: Tues/Thurs 1-6; Wed 11-4
