Tim Carpenter talks to George Saunders about his new book, “Tenth of December,” and what it’s like to be called the rightful heir to Vonnegut and Twain.

NoHo Senior Arts Colony: Balinese Shadow Theatre Class Will Give Performance
Please join us at The Art & Craft of Shadow Theater Culmination, a FREE exhibit and shadow theater performance of an original group story entitled “Snakes R Us,” at the NoHo Senior Arts Colony, Saturday afternoon, April 20th at 2:00 PM! Since early February, participants have been having fun while working hard making shadow puppets, writing a group story, choreographing the shadows, coordinating with live music and preparing for their show. This is also an Official Event of the First Citywide LA Puppet Fest! Instructor MaRia Bodmann’s residency at NoHo is sponsored in part by an Artist in Residence grant from the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles, along with EngAGE and Bali & Beyond.
