Mattie will be working at the Windsor and the Empress hotels, supportive housing sites in San Francisco operated by our local partner, Delivering Innovation in Supportive Housing (DISH), which provides permanent housing to San Franciscans who suffer from serious health issues.
Mattie Loyce, Program Director, Northern California – Ms. Loyce is an interdisciplinary arts curator and community organizer focused on community empowerment through creative engagement. Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Mattie received her Bachelors in Sociology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and her Masters in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths University of London in London, UK. She worked for five years in community mental health within the Greater Boston Area, providing in-home therapy and advocacy services for children and families. In addition, she founded her own travelling art gallery which supported emerging artists of color through pop-up exhibitions across the U.S. and London, UK. Throughout her career she has made a commitment to amplifying the voices and supporting the lives of people with marginalized identities through her work in community mental health and the arts.
