LA County Food Programs Are Vital During Pandemic

Low income residents in our Los Angeles County communities always appreciate the much-needed, regular deliveries of fresh, healthy food that they receive from our Food Service partner, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. But during this pandemic, minimizing the number of trips they have to make to the store while still having access to fresh food literally can be lifesaving.

BSAC Program Director Megan Hocking distributes boxes of food.

Thanks to Burbank Senior Artists Colony Program Director/LA County Food Coordinataor Megan Hocking for providing information about this program:

In June, LA County communities received a total of 29,550 pounds of food.

Seventeen volunteers made sure that 1,182 residents received their boxes.

The value to each resident was $62.50, making a total cash value of $73,875!

The intangible value is priceless.
