News from Cantabria and Asturias

There’s been a lot of activity to fill up the bright new calendar and notice board at Cantabria and Asturias, including resumption of the Computer Class after a hiatus of several months.

Drummer Clarence Johnston continues to lead his popular discussion group on jazz. The residents gather in the evenings and watch the Ken Burns series, “Jazz,” with Clarence there to discuss which of the “Greats” he has played with and tell stories about his experiences with them. Clarence is an Artist-in-Residence funded by the Kenneth A. Piscerne Foundation.

Yoga teacher Nina Siemaszko is taking over a new yoga studio downtown so November was her final month at Cantabria and Asturias. The students wish her well and look forward to continuing their practice.
