In August, retired history professor Perra Bell, 92, was honored by the Jack Hadley Black History Museum for her donation of about 4,000 books on African-American history. Curator Jack Hadley says it’s because of people like Bell that his and other museums can continue to operate. Hadley encourages anyone with items of historical value to make arrangements to donate them to a museum. Read more here and learn more about donating here.
